Mr. Kiser’s courses consistently receive outstanding reviews. Recent student evaluations of his innovative courses include:

“Professor Kiser is an expert. He is world-class.”

“This was the best class I have taken in law school. Everyone should take this class. The material and the way Professor Kiser presented it was remarkable. It made me think about decision making and the law so differently and I feel better prepared to practice law. I absolutely loved this class.”

“Professor Kiser was great. I thoroughly enjoyed his course. His intensive listening skills truly reflect that he emphasizes soft skills in his own life.”

“Very interested in the details and desires of the students. Uses empirical data to back up points. Manages to teach a lot in a short period of time.”

“Professor Kiser exhibited tremendous enthusiasm in teaching this course. It is clear he is an expert in this area, and I appreciated how engaging he was with students and how he really valued students’ insights and opinions.”

“Knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic … which was much appreciated. Also, the professor was receptive and encouraging of all student feedback.”

“A ton of real-life examples and practical applications for everything we were learning. Very unique and interesting class.”

“This class got me thinking about a lot of aspects of the practice of law that I had never thought about before. I would say this was a very intellectually stimulating course.”

“This is the best class that I have taken during my coursework at [law school]. Professor Kiser’s insights and methods of teaching make this class very informative and enjoyable. It is very structured and the content is world class.”

“The material was incredibly interesting and presented well – I left at the end of each class remembering what we learned in more detail than I usually do. The professor was a great lecturer who was clearly interested in what he was telling us. He asked the class good questions, so the class discussion moved fast and added to what we were learning – that’s rare, most professors aren’t good at running class discussions. … In this course, more than any other I’ve taken, I left with concrete things to do to improve and I’ve been implementing them.”

“He is truly a knowledgeable, passionate, and patient instructor.”

“Professor Kiser was able to engage all students in meaningful class discussion.”

“Professor Kiser was wonderful. He knew that all of this information was new to all of us so he described it in a clear manner that was easy to understand. I loved all of the topics and discussions that we had as a class. This class should be mandatory for graduation. I loved it and feel like I am so much smarter now.”

“What a wonderful experience being in this class. I can truly say that I learned a lot, and that many of my assumptions have been challenged.”

“Prior to taking this class, I had no formal training in decision-making, and now that the class is complete, I feel much more confident in my decision-making abilities. Now, I am better equipped to succeed at being an effective decision-maker as an attorney, and this class has encouraged me to continually work at improving my decision-making.”

“It was highly intellectually stimulating. It stretched my thinking because of its abstract, creative nature. This class was not about learning rote rules, but about learning how lawyers process situations.“

“The topics and ideas discussed in this class are very different than what we are traditionally used to, which forces us to switch gears. I think above all, this class helps us step outside of our minds and was a very humbling experience.”

“This course was outstanding in every way, thanks to the intellect, originality, and pedagogical excellence of Professor Kiser. He is a scholar, and a gentleman.”

“Great class, enjoyed coming every day.”

“Wonderful!! Thank you so much, Prof. Kiser. I will use your lessons wherever life decides to take me.”

“This class was extremely stimulating and interesting. It made me think about all the different ways in which decision making is central to the legal practice.”

“It was a fantastic opportunity to see decision making from a different perspective than we are usually taught in law school. This should be a required course for all law students.”

“I really enjoyed Professor Kiser’s lessons, he is a terrific person and a terrific professor.”

“This was the best course — hands down — I have ever had outside of my field of expertise. That constitutes a very large sample, including undergraduate, doctorate, and JD … . Professor Kiser is an original thinker, a fine teacher, and innovative. Were I redesigning a law school curriculum, I would sign him up as my premier consultant. Superb from start to finish.”

“Prof. Kiser really cares about his students and wants them to make better decisions.”

"It is a disaster that wisdom forbids you to be satisfied with yourself and always sends you away dissatisfied and fearful, whereas stubbornness and foolhardiness fill their hosts with joy and assurance."
--- Michel de Montaigne (1553 - 1592)
